Best Raw Hair Care Tips-FLEUR DE LUXURY HAIR

Raw hair is an investment and can last 3-5+ years with proper care.

Follow these expert instructions to protect the longevity, softness and luxury quality of your bundles.

Before installation

Co-wash the hair

Wash raw hair bundles gently with a sulphate-free moisturizing shampoo and a hydrating conditioner.

Let air dry

do not use high heat. Air dry the bundles on a hanger or towel.

Do not cut the wefts

Cutting the wefts may increase shedding. Your stylist should fold the wefts whenever possible.

Daily care

Hydrate regularly

Raw hair needs moisture just like any natural hair. Use:

  • Leave-in conditioner;
  • Lightweight argan oil or serum (very small amount)

Avoid heavy products

No oily, sticky, or alcohol-based products. These can cause buildup and tangling. 

Brush gently 

Start from the ends and work upward with: 

  • a paddle brush
  • wide-tooth comb

Always hold the hair near the weft to reduce tension.

Heat styling

Use heat protectant. Always apply a protectant before using heat tools.

Avoid excessive heat

Raw hair can take heat well, but frequently high-temperature styling can shorten its lifespan. 

Fleu

  • wrap or braid the hair
  • use a silk or satin bonnet
  • or sleep on a silk pillowcase 

This prevents friction, tangling and dryness.

For curly or wavy hair texture

braid or twist the hair before sleeping

refresh curls with water + conditioner mix in the morning

Washing routine

  • Wash every 1-2 weeks, depending on product building and styling
  • Deep condition regularly, raw hair responds beautifully to moisture. 
  • Leave conditioner on for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Ensure no shampoo or conditioner is left in the hair.

Colouring and bleaching

Professional only.

  • Always have hair coloured or bleached by a licensed professional. 
  • Raw hair lifts well, but improper bleaching can damage the hair.

Swimming and water exposure

Avoid chlorine and saltwater. Raw hair can become dry or tangled from pool or ocean water.

If swimming: 

Wear a protective swim cap or braid the hair tightly and rinse immediately afterward.

Storage

  • Store in original packaging
  • Keep hair in a satin bag or sealed packaging when not in use.
